Biography

Laurent Le Moal has served as a member of Remitly’s board of directors since October 2017. Since September 2019, he has served on the Executive Team of Prosus N.V., the international assets division of Naspers Group, a global internet and entertainment group, and as Chief Executive Officer of PayU, a payments and financial technology company division of Naspers Group, since January 2016. Laurent has also served as a member of the Global Future Council on the Future of Financial and Monetary Systems of the World Economic Forum since October 2019. From September 2004 to July 2015, Laurent was employed at PayPal Holdings, Inc., an online payments company, in various capacities, including most recently as Vice President and Managing Director for Continental Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa. Laurent has served as a director of Monese Ltd, a U.K. digital bank from October 2017 until April. Laurent received an M.B.A. from the London Business School, a Master in International Management from HEC School of Management in Paris, France and a Master in International Management from Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy.
