Biography

Phillip Riese has served as a member of Remitly’s board of directors since December 2016. Phillip currently serves on the board of Flywire Corporation and several privately held companies. From 1980 to 1998, he served as President, Consumer Card Services and Chairman of American Express Centurion Bank for American Express Financial Corporation, a multinational financial services corporation. From 1977 to 1980, Phillip served as the Division Executive and Vice President, Merchant Services for Chase Bank. Phillip holds an S.M. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.B.A. from the University of Cape Town and a B. Com. in Textile Engineering and Economics from Leeds University.
