Biography

Saema Somalya has served as Remitly's EVP, Legal and Risk since December 2020. Prior to joining Remitly, Saema served as SVP, Deputy General Counsel (Corporate) and Assistant Secretary for Fifth Third Bancorp and Fifth Third Bank, N.A. from May 2016 to November 2020 and as SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Warren Resources, Inc, from February 2014 to January 2016. From April 2009 to January 2014, she served as Senior Legal Director and Corporate Counsel to PepsiCo, Inc.. Saema holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. in International Relations and Affairs from Yale University.
